A chamada esteve aberta a pesquisadores vinculados a instituições de ensino superior ou pesquisa, públicas ou privadas, do Estado de São Paulo, que sejam pesquisadores responsáveis ou principais em projetos de Auxílios à Pesquisa vigentes, apoiados pela FAPESP, nas modalidades Auxílio à Pesquisa – Regular, Auxílio à Pesquisa – Projetos Temáticos, Apoio a Jovens Pesquisadores ou Centros de Pesquisa, Inovação e Difusão (Cepids).
